Adult Day Program

A Complement to Home-based Care

Day Program Information

For families who care for their loved ones at home, the Center’s Adult Day Program provides flexible, secure, and affordable assistance from highly trained staff. The program is available for a full day or only a few hours, five days a week or only one, every week of the year or just occasionally.

Licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, the James L. West Adult Day Program is set in a spacious, secure cottage with an adjoining garden. Program participants are free to join many of the same activities and outings that our residents enjoy. For many families, the Adult Day Program provides a comfortable transition to residential living at the Center.

  • Isolation can be devastating for many older adults with dementia. The social stimulation and activity of our Adult Day Program help participants remain interested, independent, and socially active.
  • The program also provides much-needed support for their family members. An estimated 7 out of 10 people with Alzheimer's disease in Tarrant County live at home, and friends and family provide 75 percent of all home care.

The Center’s daily rates for the Adult Day Program include meals, snacks, and social activities. Bathing and beauty shop services can be arranged for an additional fee.
